Ladypants got me a fancy Dutch Oven. Clearly, the only thing to do was to make French Onion Soup. So make French Onion Soup I did.

Cauliflower, Celery Root Soup
The picture is not much to look at, but the soup is amazing. The celery root makes it just a little sweet and the cauliflower makes it creamy. Very simple to make too. Just simmer cauliflower and celery root in broth and milk for 20 our so minutes, puree and add salt and pepper to taste.

Potato Leek Soup
You know what makes the first cold week of fall in San Francisco worthwhile? That's right, Potato Leek Soup. So I made some this evening. I even managed to take some pictures of each step of the process. The soup is delicious by the by.
